Stop Paying Emotional Fees to Bad Deals
I hate bait and switch! I imagine you do too.
I wanted to update a PDF folder that was created years ago in a program I never learned to use. Neither the program nor the original was available, so I asked AI to help me find a suitable free program to do the job. The program I chose advertised itself as a way to edit a PDF file for free.
I completed my updates and when I went to save my “free” updated file, I was offered the choice. My first choice was to download a free file with a large red watermark on each page that obscured some of the text. My other choice was paying $60 for a year-long subscription to a program I only need for this single use in order to download a free file.

I had spent hours making the updates. I complained to AI about the bait and switch. It didn’t apologize. It just said that many programs operated that way. I fumed!
Then I remembered the process I teach in this book. It’s easy to forget when I’m upset. I said the 3 sentences, realized that I could afford to pay the ransom, and tried to do so. My perfectly good credit card was rejected!
I repeated the sentences, used the same credit card through a different system, and finally claimed my beautiful, updated file. I’m no longer angry, but I still hate bait and switch.
This post is a comment I wrote about a passage on Page 39 revised edition, Page 34 original of Letting It Go: Relieve Anxiety and Toxic Stress in Just a Few Minutes Using Only Words (Rapid Relief with Logosynthesis®). You can see the passage in the book. You can also see the excerpt here. This link will take you to Bublish.com, where I regularly publish comments on parts of this book. This is a site where authors share of their work. You can subscribe to my musings, there, as well as to the musings of many other authors. It’s a great place to learn about new books and I recommend that you visit.
