Finally Release that Awful Memory
Do pictures you wish you had never seen take up permanent residence in your head. They used to in mine. I have walked out of movies because I knew the ugly scenes would keep replaying, indefinitely and reprise the feelings I had when I first watched them.
You may have an image of something far worse than a movie scene you wish you could unsee. One woman I worked with kept remembering suddenly encountering victims of a terrible accident.
Somehow the intensity of the scenes imprinted them permanently in one’s brain. We all remember some emotionally charged events, but some of us are more sensitive than others. If you’re a highly sensitive person like me, this tip is for you.
Those images represent stuck energy, and the simple, powerful process I teach you in LETTING IT GO is designed to help you release stuck energy. All you need to do is say the three sentences with “this memory of…” while picturing the unwanted image while you say each sentence.
Usually, the intrusive image recedes. It doesn’t disappear entirely. It may change to something less intense, but your intense response almost always softens. You can deliberately remember the scene, but it stops popping into your head, unbidden and you respond very differently.
The process is easy to learn and practice as needed. Get your copy and learn how now.
This post is a comment I wrote about a passage on Page 36 revised edition, Page 44 original of Letting It Go: Relieve Anxiety and Toxic Stress in Just a Few Minutes Using Only Words (Rapid Relief with Logosynthesis®). You can see the passage in the book. You can also see the excerpt here. This link will take you to Bublish.com, where I regularly publish comments on parts of this book. This is a site where authors share of their work. You can subscribe to my musings, there, as well as to the musings of many other authors. It’s a great place to learn about new books and I recommend that you visit.
