Whenever I know exactly how something SHOULD BE I have trouble responding to the way it actually IS. This applies to the price of eggs, the weather, my retirement fund and how long it takes me to walk a mile.
If my energy is stuck in “should be,” I’m stuck believing that eggs should cost $2/dozen, the weather should be different, my retirement fund should be bigger, and I should be able to walk a mile in 15 minutes! Each time I discover that this isn’t so, I feel a little angry or scared because I react as if something is wrong. That’s especially true if these things changed some time ago and I just have trouble accepting the changes.
If something changes suddenly, that can be an important warning signal. I am not referring to a rapid, unexpected change. That needs to be investigated.
Being able to respond to the world as it is now, rather than fuming because it’s not different, takes much less effort. I can focus on choices that keep me happy and prosperous.

I can reclaim my stuck energy that’s stuck in the past by putting the phrase, “this belief that the world should be different “into the 3 Logosynthesis® sentences. I could substitute “the price of eggs” or “the weather” for “world.”
