Abundance is not just about money. For me, abundance is having someone I trust who can help me navigate all the different aspects of living in an increasingly complex world. And it’s about gratitude. I am grateful for their help, whether or not I pay them for their work.

I’m grateful for the mechanic who found the problem with my 2007 car’s heating system. He listened to me, even when his instruments said it worked perfectly. It didn’t, but now it does. It’s my dream car and it still runs perfectly. Now I can keep it.

I am grateful for my computer guru who diagnosed a serious problem over the phone when I was in Mexico. When he  only partially fixed another problem and came by to pick it up and do further work on it, he assured me that there would be no  additional charge.

I am grateful that the contractor who did a wonderful job for me last year, who doesn’t do patio repair work I need, is checking for someone he trusts that can do the work.

I am also grateful that the manager of the YMCA where I work out listens when I tell him about a problem and either fixes it or explains why the fix must wait. And he puts out silly riddles every day that make me smile.
