Your Money Isn’t the Problem: Your Rules Are
What would you buy for $100 without thinking about it? AI suggested these items, among others: dinner for two, a new pair of shoes, a haircut and color, a massage, a nice bottle of perfume, a new sweater, groceries for a few days, takeout for the family, and tickets to a concert or show.
I have spent at least that much on many of the items on the list, but not all of them. How about you? Sometimes something seems overpriced because my sense of “how things should be” is stuck in the past. We used to happily spend $30 for a nice meal for both of us at a neighborhood restaurant. Now fast-food costs that much.
I needed to use the 3 magic Logosynthesis® sentences to take my energy back from “this belief about what things should cost” to decide to celebrate our anniversary at a very upscale restaurant. We enjoyed the experience, but not enough to repeat it frequently.
We don’t eat out as often as we used to simply because that doesn’t give us as much pleasure as spending that much on tickets for a play.
And sometimes my daughter and I consider shopping for clothes at holiday clearance sales an entertaining sport. I found 5 different garments that the stores were happy to part with along with giving me special birthday bonuses and had a whole afternoon of fun for that same $100.
Does Embracing Prosperity mean using money thoughtfully in your own way?
This article is a comment I wrote about a passage on Page 68 of Embrace Prosperity: Resolve Blocks to Experiencing Abundance (Rapid Relief With Logosynthesis®) You can see the passage in the book. You can also see the excerpt here. This link will take you to Bublish.com, where I regularly publish comments on parts of several of my books. This is a site where authors share of their work. You can subscribe to my musings, there, as well as to the musings of many other authors. It’s a great place to learn about new books and I recommend that you visit.
