Stop Obeying Every Screen That Calls
Once upon a time, my husband and I shared a busy psychotherapy practice, an office away from home, and an office manager. We routinely saw 35-40 clients a week in groups, with individuals and couples too. I also gave talks, wrote articles, traveled to professional conferences, and helped raise two teenagers.
I had forgotten how full that life was until I began reviewing 1980s calendars for the memoir I’m writing. On this not-busy morning, I started wondering what made that level of activity possible.
Part of the answer was simple: I had a schedule and stuck to it. Another part was that technology had fewer ways to interrupt me: a telephone and an electric typewriter I avoided by pretending I didn’t know how to type.

Yesterday I spent two hours trying to reach my regular online newspaper, clear videos from my iPhone so it could update, and research new technology to lower my internet and TV bills by about $250 a month. Today I found a reputable offer to clone my brain with AI for only $17 a month.
The distractions now come from many directions, and staying focused on my own priorities is harder than it used to be. That focus is critical to experiencing abundance instead of chaos. The Practice Abundance opportunities in every chapter of EMBRACE PROSPERITY can help you choose what matters most. Get it now.
