One of my father’s favorite sayings was, “It’s not what you know but who you know.” I argued that what you know is more important. However, while working on my memoir, I’ve discovered that while I’ve thrived on learning, I’ve also always connected with the people I admired.

My friend, Dame Doria Cordova, wrote “…our mentor, Buckminster Fuller… taught me that true wealth is access—access to knowledge, resources, relationships, and wisdom.”

I know that “Bucky’s” view has been true for me, although I never clarified it as beautifully  as Dame Doria did. A week in Bucky’s presence over 40 years ago was filled with wisdom I barely appreciated then. Fortunately, I absorbed it despite myself.

It’s been the relationships though, that have guided me to the opportunities that allowed me to enjoy the abundance I live with now. When I listed them, I filled a narrow- lined sheet of paper with their names.

Dr. Lammers and I have done our best to share our knowledge and wisdom about prosperity in this book. We’ve included activities to help you access your own wisdom.

Who you know counts too. Have you discovered the wisdom in the people you encounter every day? It’s there when you pay attention.  Asking questions when you are curious usually leads to interesting information and often, a chance to develop a new important relationship.

I wish I had space to share more stories of how others have helped me. I know you can find amazing resources too.

This article is a comment I wrote about a passage on Page 71 of Embrace Prosperity: Resolve Blocks to Experiencing Abundance (Rapid Relief With Logosynthesis®) You can see the passage in the book. You can also see the excerpt here. This link will take you to Bublish.com, where I regularly publish comments on parts of several of my books. This is a site where authors share of their work. You can subscribe to my musings, there, as well as to the musings of many other authors. It’s a great place to learn about new books and I recommend that you visit.
